The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) convened on Thursday under the leadership of President Mahmoud Abbas. During this meeting, the committee condemned what it termed the continuous Israeli “war of genocide,” particularly in northern Gaza.

The committee reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to the unity of all Palestinian territories within the framework of the State of Palestine, which includes Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

They describe the situation it as part of a strategy known as the “Generals’ Plan.” This plan is viewed as an effort to displace the local population and implement policies aimed at killing and extermination, thereby further entrenching Israeli occupation and colonization.

Rejecting discussions about a so-called “day-after,” the committee asserted that any future developments would be under Palestinian governance, emphasizing that the PLO remains the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people and its National Authority.

Furthermore, it criticized Israeli laws targeting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), labeling them as an affront to the international community and a violation of international law.

It reiterated that UNRWA is a vital component of the international system and called on the UN to take necessary actions to ensure that Israel respects UNRWA’s facilities and mandate.

It called upon the international community for both political and financial support for UNRWA to counter these Israeli actions, urging immediate intervention to prevent further harm to one of the UN’s humanitarian agencies.

In conclusion, the PLO Executive Committee approved a comprehensive plan of action designed to confront and respond to Israeli measures against UNRWA. This plan aims to address obstacles faced by its Commissioner-General, staff, and various educational, health, and relief institutions
